Summerfest 2014 Headline Shows At The Marcus Amphitheater

Summerfest 2014 tickets
Just three Summerfest 2014 headliners remain unannounced. June 28, July 1, and the closing night of July 6 have not been revealed as of the beginning of the week, likely to be released along with the full lineup on Wednesday. Eight acts at the haloed Marcus Amphitheater have been confirmed, however, including five special guests, all unique to cater to the over 1 million fans expected at the world's largest music festival this year.  For ticket inventory and prices, visit the link.

Fresh off of a massively successful Super Bowl halftime show in January, pop icon Bruno Mars opens Summerfest on June 25. Hip-hop and pop veteran Aloe Blacc will join Bruno Mars for the debut show at the Marcus Amphitheater. Blacc's most notable recent works include title songs in the video game series Battlefield and Dr. Dre's Beats headphones commercials.

Fellow pop super star Lady Gaga follows Bruno Mars on the 26th for the second day of the event. This will be the performance artist's first show in Milwaukee since 2010.

Country fans have always enjoyed a decent selection of contemporrary artists at the Big Gig, and 2014 promises to be no different. Brad Paisley and special guest Darius Rucker perform on June 27th, while the Zac Brown Band comes to town on July 3rd. The rumor mill also has it that at least one more country act will be added to the schedule by Wednesday.

Outside of pop and country, usually the most represented genres at the Marcus Amphitheater during Summerfest, promoters this year have included a number of rock, hip-hop, and alternative selections.

Most recently announced was the June 29th show featuring Outkast and guest Gary Clark Jr. The date is one of over 40 on the golden-age hip-hop duo's reunion tour, which kicks off at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April.

The remaining dates that have been revealed include the most attended act in North America during the first decade of the 2000s, Dave Matthews Band, classic-rock group Mötley Crüe with special guest Alice Cooper, and Fallout Boy & Paramore.

Mötley Crüe's July 4th show will be the final time the legendary rockers ever play in Milwaukee, as the band has decided to call it quits following their current tour, dubbed “The Final Tour”.
