This year's headliner schedule has already impressed critics around the country. Reporters are calling the 11-day lineup one of the best in the last decade, as it includes a number of meaningful shows from big time artists. Motley Crue, veterans of the Marcus stage, will play their last Milwaukee show ever as part of the legendary band's farewell tour. Hip-hop pioneers Outkast, meanwhile, chose the festival as one of their stops on the duo's first tour in seven years. Even Dave Matthews Band, who's usual summer Wisconsin stomping ground is Alpine Valley, will play Summerfest in 2014.
Following the Bruno Mars opener on the 25, Lady Gaga performs her self-styled brand of artpop on the second full day of Summerfest, June 26. Known for her outrageous costumes, special effects, and choreography, she has been a festival staple since hitting the charts in 2008.
Two-nights of country hit the Marcus Amphitheater starting on June 27. Brad Paisley and Darius Rucker join forces that night before Luke Bryan comes to Summerfest for the second time in as many years on the 28.
Outkast closes the first half of the event on June 29 before a one day break on the 30. OneRepublic welcomes fans back to the event on July 1, along with special guests Mayer Hawthorne. The group has become one of the best selling acts in the industry since signing on with Timbaland's Mosley Music Group in 2007. The band has toured with the likes of Pink, Bon Jovi, and Maroon 5. 2014 will mark their Summerfest debut.
Dave Matthews Band and the Zac Brown Band play on the second and third, respectively. Motley Crue headlines on the fourth with Alice Cooper and Fall Out Boy joins Paramore at the Marcus Amphitheater on the fifth. Fall Out Boy's performance will be part of the group's first tour since reforming in 2013. The international tour begins on June 5 in Wroclaw, Poland.
Usher closes the 2014 Summerfest on July 6, his only appearance in the United States this summer.
