Florida Georgia Line To Headline Summerfest 2015

Florida Georgia Line Summerfest 2015
The first Summerfest 2015 headline show has been booked. It will be Florida Georgia Line at the Marcus Amphitheater on June 24. Joining the band will be Frankie Ballard and Thomas Rhett.  Their climb to "headline" status has been swift. Eight million in album sales of their album titled "Cruise" will do that for a band. Tickets for the show range in price, depending on the section and row.

It's been just three years since the band inked a record deal with Mountain View Records.  Prior to that, the band wrote and released a six song EP. Their second effort, another EP had the magic ingredients. The songs on that disk propelled the band to a higher profile. In 2012, the band made their first full length album, and titled it "Here's to the Good Times." That's a perfect title for this "Bro Country" band. Their big hit "Cruise" has just the right mix to appeal to those who can't get enough of songs about pretty women, drinking beer, and riding in pick up trucks. After all, that's pretty much what modern country music is all about these days.   Even Nelly got into the mix (or shall we say "remix",) when he stepped in and helped vault the song to the top of the country charts in early 2013.

Anything Goes Released In 2014

Anything Goes is their latest effort. The band released a single titled "Dirt" this past October. It's a slower number, and the video reflects back to a time when a young couple worked the land.  The band does manage to get the words "whiskey" and "bonfires" in the first few lines, so the song doesn't stray too far from what works in "modern" country music today.  They are the 2014 American Music Awards winner for "Vocal Duo of the Year" and are sure to come close to selling out the Marcus Amphitheater in June of 2015.
