Tickets for the show go on sale the week of February 20th. At just 23 years old, it's pretty amazing that someone this young can draw a large enough crowd to fill the Marcus, but he's been performing since 2005, and his music has sold in the millions. Currently, Sheeran is supporting his 2014 release, titled "X" as in "Multiply." In 2014, he was nominated for a Grammy. That was just one of over ninety assorted music nominations he has received, going back these past nine years.
Elton John was not the first major artist to discover Ed Sheeran. Jamie Foxx noticed him at an open mic show in Los Angeles, back in 2010. Thankfully, Foxx thought that Sheeran had major talent, and helped him release one of his many independent efforts. That one was titled "Songs I Wrote with Amy." He would go on to release another EP called "No. 5 Collaborations Project." That EP was the one that garnered the most attention. By Mid 2011, he had signed with Asylum Records.
Ed Sheeran released "+" in 2011, to mixed reviews. Still, the disk has now sold in the millions, and his new album (also cleverly titled,) is even more popular than the first. His work can be found on iTunes, and Spotify.
